Takoma Park police responded to the 6400 block of 4th Ave. at 11:38 p.m. on January 14 after receiving reports of gunfire, according to police spokeswoman Cathy Plevy in an email to the neighborhood.
Four or five bullets were reportedly fired near 4th Avenue and Eastern Avenue, as reported by three callers. The police conducted a foot search for suspects, prospective victims, and shell casings but came up empty.
A local neighbor discovered several spent round shells and one unfired bullet near the crime scene the following day, and Takoma Park Police seized all of the evidence.
