A Tractor-trailer Drove Off an Overpass in New York State and Crashed Into Another Vehicle, Killing One People.

More details about a terrible accident in the Lower Hudson Valley have emerged. An overpass collapsed, causing a tractor-trailer to fall and smash an automobile below.

On Wednesday, New York State Police opened an investigation into a deadly incident involving a tractor-trailer that had occurred the previous day on I-287 (the Cross Westchester Expressway) in the town of Harrison, Westchester County.

The New York State Police are looking into a tragic car crash that occurred on Interstate 287 in Westchester County.

In the morning of January 18th, about 10:20 a.m., police say a tractor-trailer lost control on the Exit 9A ramp from I-287 to I-684 north and flipped over the guard rail onto the westbound lanes of I-287.

The tractor-trailer driver was pronounced dead at the site. An injured passenger from one of the cars involved in the I-287 crash was brought to the hospital.

All lanes westbound on I-287 are closed near Exit 9, and the left lane eastbound is also closed.

New York State Police provided an update in which they named the individuals involved in the collision.

Tractor-trailer driver Nathan L. Montalvo, 42, of Guilford, Connecticut, was killed in an accident, according to state police.

New York resident Aris Guerrero, 37, was the driver who was hurt in the accident.

After being injured, Guerrero was taken to Westchester Medical Center. However, details about his health were withheld.
