At 12:22 p.m. on March 18, 2022, a New Jersey witness in Rahway reported seeing a triangle-shaped object with three white lights travelling slowly, according to testimony from the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC).
The witness was seated in front of a bedroom window at a desk. The sky was mostly clear, but there were a few clouds. Something in the sky had captured the witness’s attention.
“Therefore, I look up,” reported the witness. “At first, I mistook the formation for birds flying in a triangle. But the way it was moving compelled me to get a closer look.”
The witness then observed a slow-moving triangular-shaped craft.
There were three big white lights that were twirling in the sky above. It appeared to be reflecting, which is how I first spotted it.
The item then began to accelerate and rapidly plummeted westward towards the clouds.
“I was stunned and unable to comprehend what I saw. This craft was certainly extraterrestrial.”
The report filed on March 18, 2022 lacked any photos. The population of Rahway in Union County, New Jersey, is 29,556. Witness testimony has been altered for clarity. Please report UFO activity to the National UFO Reporting Center or the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

According to the MUFON February 2023 newsletter, New Jersey ranked ninth in U.S. UFO sightings in January 2023, with 13 incidents reported. California had the most cases at 62.
In January 2023, 37 triangle cases were reported nationally.
Historic New Jersey
On October 4, 1963, a Millington, New Jersey, witness reported seeing a disc-shaped object hovering over a neighbor’s house, according to evidence from the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC).
The witness resided on a rural road with a dead end. The witness and her 11-year-old brother were on their way to a neighbourhood restaurant to pick up the witness’s husband, who managed the establishment. The date of the incident is approximate.
“As we approached the bottom of the driveway, we observed a big, disc-shaped object hovering over our neighbor’s residence,” the witness reported. “It surrounded the perimeter of the house.”
The item was reported by the witness as having two enormous red and two large white lights along its centre. There was no sound emanating from it.
“Normally, we are both easily frightened, but we were both calm, as if our calmness had something to do with it. I turned off the car and lowered the windows so that we could hear any sounds coming from the craft. It was so close that residents must have been aware of our presence.”
The witness stopped at the bottom of the driveway and observed it while wondering what it was doing above their neighbor’s residence. After approximately seven minutes, the item followed the road up the hill.
“We waited a few moments to ensure that it wouldn’t be waiting for us. I was worried that it would land at a small airstrip that we had to pass in order to reach the Old Mill Inn in Basking Ridge.”
This was the only time the witness encountered a such situation.
“The peculiar thing is that my brother and I almost wished we could see who was inside the craft while it was across the street. I received the impression it had nothing to do with our planet.”
The report submitted on January 18, 2004 did not contain any photos. The population of Millington, an unincorporated community in Morris County, New Jersey, is 3,144. Witness testimony has been altered for clarity.
