According to the announcement made by the authorities, a man from Silver Spring has been found guilty of the murder of his wife, which took place in the year 2021.
According to the office of the Montgomery County State’s Attorney, Reginald Dunlap, 45, was found guilty on Monday, March 13, following the savage slaying of his wife, 40-year-old Lauren Charles, in March 2021. The verdict came from a trial that took place on Monday, March 13.
On March 7, 2021, the body of Charles was discovered at the couple’s home where he had been savagely battered to death with what the police believe was a decorative Buddha statue. In addition, a pillowcase had been stuffed down her throat and was found around her neck, causing her to suffocate.
The authorities suspect that after Charles was killed, bleach was put on her body to destroy evidence, and Dunlap ransacked their bedroom to fabricate a crime scene. The incident occurred after Charles was killed.
At Dunlap’s sentencing, which was due to take place in the morning of July 7, 2023, he is likely to be sentenced to life in prison.
