Officials reported one individual was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Vineland on Saturday.

At 6:39 p.m., a white 2011 GMC Sierra going south on North Mill Road went over the double-solid yellow lines and into the northbound lane, colliding with a black 2018 Mazda, according to Vineland police.
Vernon E. Smith Jr., 53, of Vineland, was the driver of the GMC Sierra at the time of the incident. According to investigators, his automobile smashed into a power pole after the initial incident.
On Sunday, authorities did not disclose the status of the Mazda’s driver, a 26-year-old Pittsgrove woman.

The collision is still being investigated, and no charges have been filed.
