The Department of Revenue in Washington State has introduced a new tax credit to help working families who are struggling to make ends meet despite having at least one breadwinner in the household.

The Working Families Tax Credit provides a tax credit of up to $1,200 to those who qualify.
You Meet the Requirements if:
A person without dependents is required to have an annual income of less than $16,480. In that case, you could receive a $300 rebate. If you’re a married couple without any children, your total annual household income must be less than $22,610.
One child requires a household income of $43,492 or less for a single parent, or $49,622 or less for a married couple. As a result, you’d be eligible for a $600 refund.
There is a $900 credit available to families with two children if either the individual taxpayer’s or joint filing spouse’s adjusted gross income is less than $49,399 or $55,529, respectively.

Finally, to qualify for the $1,200 credit if your family has three children, either you or your spouse/significant other must make less than $53,057 per year. About 385,000 Washington residents, according to estimates from the state government.
