Who Today is Eligible to Receive Up to $1,827 in a Third Social Security Payment?

Individuals who have signed up for Social Security have now received their third payment from the federal government. There will be a third payout in March, after the first two have already been distributed to many people.

The previous two installments were made on March 8 and 15. Many people are interested in the third-of-the-month payments, which are due on Wednesday.

When Can I Expect My First Social Security Check?

The timing of everyone’s payments is set by the Social Security Administration. The timing of these payments is determined by how long you’ve been a Social Security recipient and your date of birth.

The following is the March schedule (PDF) for when you should expect to receive your Social Security check and/or SSI money:

March 1: SSI payments begin.

Those who are dually eligible for SSI and Social Security, or who started receiving Social Security benefits prior to May 1997, will receive their first payment on March 3.

Everyone born between the first and tenth of the month will receive their Social Security check on March 8th.

March 15: Social Security benefits for everyone born between the 11th \sand 20th of any given month.

Anybody born between February 21 and December 31 is eligible to receive their Social Security benefit check on March 22.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) will start sending out April benefits on March 31.

How Do They Pick These Dates?

The Social Security Administration typically distributes payments on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of every month. Your birth date will be used to establish the day your check is mailed to you.

Your birthday check will be issued on the second Wednesday of the month if it falls between the 1st and the 10th.

If your birthday comes between the 11th and 20th of the month, you will \sreceive your payment on the third Wednesday of the month.

If your special day falls between the 21st and 31st of the month, you will get your gift on the fourth Wednesday of the following month.
