According to reports, Ricky Martin’s 21-year-old nephew was the subject of a restraining order issued against the singer earlier this month. On July 2nd, a Puerto Rican judge approved the restraining order against Martin.
but the identity of the complainant had not been revealed until recently. Spanish daily Marca (via People) said that Martin’s brother Eric named Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, Sanchez’s nephew and accuser of the artist, as his accuser.
Martin and Sanchez Had Been Dating for Seven Months.
Martin and Sanchez had been dating for seven months when the restraining order was obtained under Puerto Rico’s domestic violence legislation. After their breakup, Martin is said to have loitered outside of Sanchez’s house on three separate occasions. Sanchez reportedly claimed that Martin had physically and psychologically abused him, as well.

The 21st of July has been set aside for a court appearance. Martin isn’t allowed to speak to his accuser until then. The claims have been refuted by Martin and his representatives. According to a publicist for the artist, “Unfortunately, the person who made this accusation is suffering from significant mental health issues.

” Of course, Ricky Martin has never had a sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew, and he never will. In addition to being false, the notion is repulsive. According to a previous statement made by Ricky Martin’s attorney, the claims that resulted in the protective order were “totally untrue and contrived. We have every confidence that Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated when the true facts of this case are revealed.”

The Protection Order Was Issued.
“The protection order issued against [Martin] is] based on absolutely false charges, thus I will answer through the court procedure with the facts and the dignity that characterize me,” Martin wrote in an Instagram message on July 4th.
