The 49-year-old proposed that Beyoncé take it a step further and delete her name from her smash “Partition” after the singer cut a word from her most recent album out of ableist concerns.
On August 1, she tweeted, “hmm, since we’re at it… #Partition,” referencing a song from Beyoncé’s 2013 album in which she recalls a man “Monica Lewinsky’d all on my gown.”

Beyoncé, if we’re going to be verbing this, I think you meant “Bill Clinton’d all over my gown” rather than “Monica Lewinsky‘d.” After a Twitter user questioned why she suddenly seemed to change her tune about being cool with the lyric, Lewinski explained that she was never cool with it and that she had previously dealt with the situation by laughing at it, saying, “learning to laugh about things which hurt or humiliated me is how I survived.”

Beyoncé got into trouble for using the term “spaz” in her song “Heated” from Renaissance Renaissance, her first solo studio album since 2016. This was before Lewinski’s request.
An advocate for people with disabilities quickly wrote an opinion article in The Guardian calling out the Grammy winner for his “use of ableist rhetoric.” “The phrase, not used purposefully in a bad way, will be replaced,” Beyoncé’s team told E! News on August 1.
