On January 1, 2021, a new amendment was added to New Jersey’s constitution. With this change, both medical and recreational use of marijuana became legal.
I have to be honest and say that I may have smoked pot once or twice in my life. When I was young, it usually happened in Pat’s apple-red Camaro in front of our local 7-Eleven. I certainly don’t know a lot about it.
I remember that when I first got back to New Jersey a few months ago, I walked along the AC boardwalk and smelled something that seemed vaguely familiar. Oh, really? Is it allowed?
I don’t know which surprised me more: that people could now smoke pot openly or that I had to buy shopping bags at the grocery store. This area has changed a lot.
Steve, hold on, “It’s not called “pot.” We call it weed.” There is also a reason for that. I found out that marijuana is not legal but cannabis is. If you buy it at a store that is allowed to sell it, it is cannabis. If Nick sells it to you on the street, it is pot. I guess…
So where do you buy cannabis?
I’ve found a place called The Botanist in South Jersey. They have a few locations nearby, such as 1301 Boardwalk in Atlantic City and Century Drive in Egg Harbor Township. They have a wide range of products, such as edibles, gummies, and “pre-rolls,” which I used to call joints.
The address for Design 710 in Atlantic City is 112 Park Place. They’re open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. They sell many different things, such as Red Velvet Cheesecake Buds and Watermelon Gelato Buds. Design 710 is only for people who have a medical marijuana card.
You can go to The Cannabist in Vineland. They sell things like the Sour Cherry Limeade vape and the Orange Sherbet pre-rolls. They are in Vineland at 1062 N Delsea Dr. Check their website to find out when they are open.
