Renton police detectives and members of the Renton SWAT team carried out a narcotics operation just south of the city on Valentine’s Day, during which they seized more than $2.2 million worth of illegal substances and cash.
The authorities claim that they conducted a protracted drug investigation at a residence located just beyond the south end of the city boundaries, and as a result, they developed probable cause to support the execution of a search warrant at the location.

On Tuesday, the warrant was executed, and as a result, two individuals were taken into custody.
The amount of money that may be made selling narcotics on the street is estimated to be $2,240,618.
Among their findings were the following:
- Cash totaling $18,727
- 1.31 kilograms of heroin (about $59,620)
- 13.42 pounds of crystal meth with a value of $243,468
- 41.23 kilograms of cocaine (about $1,870,954 USD)
- 31,621 fentanyl pills ($158,105)
- 85 grams of powdered fentanyl, which cost $8,471
A total of more than 56 pounds of illegal substances and four firearms, one of which was reported stolen, were located and confiscated by law enforcement. Officers also took possession of two vehicles while they were there.
