NEWARK, NJ — Nothing gets the job done faster than providing those you serve with a decent dinner in addition to solid police work when it comes to winning the hearts and minds of those you are sworn to protect and serve.
This is the message that the 4th Precinct of the Newark Police Department is putting out today after conducting a pop-up food giveaway for the residents of the neighborhood.
A variety of food goods and essential home items were distributed by the police department to local citizens who were in need.
“Location 10 17th Avenue was the site of a pop-up food distribution that was organized by Lieutenant T. Johnson, who is the commander of the 4th Precinct Substation. The chicken, sausage, vegetables, milk, water, snacks, and other items were all available for the community members to choose from.
According to the Newark Police Department, “Care packages along with coats and clothing for infants and adults were also distributed.”
