The Bronx Zoo hosts a free family day for locals every year

On Saturday, individuals of all ages brought their children to the Bronx Zoo for a day filled with free activities and animal encounters.

Bronx citizens were provided with the opportunity to visit the Bronx Zoo thanks to “Free Family Day,” which was sponsored by City Councilman Rafael Salamanca Jr. His office formed a partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society, through which they purchased 500 tickets and spent $15,000 on unique programming.

Justine Miller, a reporter with News 12, was present to engage in conversation with families who were enjoying the event.
