Property Owners in the Garden State Have the Opportunity to Apply for and Receive Rebates of Up to $1,500 Per Year in Property Tax Payments.

According to a tip from reader HarryTheFirstHarry, most people in New Jersey are eligible to receive a cash payment to help with their property taxes.

For homeowners, the payment is $1,500, while renters pay $450. The ANCHOR programme is the name of these benefits.

Once set for December 31, 2022, the new filing deadline is February 28, 2023. If you haven’t gotten your PIN, you can call and request it.

Payment of these benefits is anticipated to occur in late spring of 2023. In contrast to other forms of assistance, ANCHOR payments will be made solely through bank transfers or paper checks, and not through reductions in homeowners’ tax obligations. With this credit, getting up to $1,500 should take no more than a few minutes.
