The death of a New Jersey teen, aged 14, was reportedly caused by gunfire in Camden on Saturday evening.
Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabe Rodriguez said that at 9:32 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire in the area of the 1800 block of Mt. Ephraim Avenue in Camden.

It was reported by authorities that upon arrival, responding cops discovered an unconscious victim.
Aside from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department, EMS also responded.
At 10:04 p.m. on Saturday, the victim, a teen boy from Lindenwold, was pronounced dead at Cooper University Medical Center. They were unable to determine his identity any further.
According to the investigation, the teen was at a birthday party at the Elks Lodge on Mt. Ephraim Avenue the night of the shooting. Additional information about the incident was not immediately released by authorities.

As of Sunday, authorities were still looking into what led up to the incident.
