Police in New Jersey Report the Recovery of Stolen Luxury Vehicles and the Arrest of a Juvenile (Age 15).

On Friday, authorities announced that the arrest of a 15-year-old boy in Montclair had led to the recovery or identification of 21 luxury vehicles that had been reported stolen in 16 different towns in New Jersey and New York.

The unnamed teen was arrested in Elizabeth in the middle of December and charged with stealing two expensive cars from Montclair a few weeks earlier.

Lt. Terrence Turner, a spokesman for the Montclair Police Department, said that the investigation resulted in the recovery of vehicles stolen in Toms River, Holmdel, and the Morganville section of Marlboro. How many cars were found and recovered is unknown, as no official number was released by police.

According to Turner, additional vehicles were reported stolen in the areas of Hillside, South Brunswick, Montville, Clifton, and Orange, all of which were located through the use of search warrants.

Turner claimed that additional thefts had occurred in Wilmington, Delaware, and the New York towns of Old Westbury and Massapequa.

Turner has stated that more arrests are to be expected as the investigation continues.

On December 5th, the Newark teen and another individual vandalised a front gate on Club Way in Montclair, according to police.

The two allegedly entered the residence through an unlocked side door, where they discovered the keys to a 2018 Ferrari Spider and a 2021 Lamborghini Urus. They allegedly broke into the garage, stole the cars, and drove off.

After an investigation, police in Elizabeth arrested the teen and later filed charges against him in Montclair for burglary, criminal mischief, conspiracy, and receiving stolen property. Police also reported discovering a handgun in his possession.
