Police in Los Angeles Have Posted Images of Suspects in Three Attempted Murder Cases and Are Asking for Witnesses

On Monday, the Los Angeles Police Department released images of three males who are currently in detention for separate attempted murder cases. They do so in the hopes that more victims of aggravated assault or attempted murder committed by the individuals may come forward.

The initial occurrence happened on December 15 around 9:30 p.m. in a parking lot on the 3200 block of West Florence Avenue.

Kaleb Cotton, 18, the suspect, approached a car with four people inside, two women and two males, and fired several shots into the vehicle. Shots rang out, and one of the men was struck in the head, suffering a life-threatening injury.

According to LAPD, a female passenger was grazed in the head, while another male passenger was grazed in the back.

Identifying Cotton was made possible thanks to security footage that captured the whole shooting. After that, police in Carson found and arrested him on four counts of attempted murder.

The second incident took place at a cannabis dispensary in the 5000 block of South Hoover Street at approximately 1:20 p.m. on February 17.

The suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Manuel Camarena, was an employee at the dispensary where the incident occurred and had a disagreement with a male customer who was trying to buy marijuana.

As the victim tried to flee in his car, the Camarena approached him and opened fire with his revolver. The man was paralyzed after being struck in the neck, according to the announcement.

Many 9mm shell shells were found at the scene, and detectives were able to get security tape that depicted the whole shooting. The 22-year-old was arrested without incident in Carson, and he is charged with attempted murder and having a firearm in the possession of a felon.

In the third incident, which took place on February 8 at approximately 1:40 p.m., three people were attacked while traveling northbound on 10th Avenue in Hyde Park, going for 69th Street.

The perpetrator, later identified as 19-year-old Jashone King, approached the victims’ vehicle when it had stopped near the crossroads and fired several shots inside.

The woman in the automobile was shot in the head. Police claimed she was in severe condition when rushed to the hospital, and doctors eventually diagnosed her with paralysis.

Once again, security tape showing the whole shooting was recovered by the investigators. There are three counts of attempted murder against King.

Authorities believe there may be more victims of the three suspects, even if the incidents are unrelated.
