According to the statements made by the authorities, three individuals from Newark have been charged with kidnapping another individual, shooting him, and then abandoning him for dead near Road 80.
On Tuesday, March 14, the New Jersey State Police stated that Mustafa Manns, age 28, William Dixon, age 24, and Nishir Rios-Figueroa, age 30, had been detained in connection with the death of Quadree Burch, age 27, who had also been a resident of Newark.

At 12:26 p.m. on August 18, 2022, troopers from Hope Station’s Troop “B” responded to a report of human remains found by a New Jersey Department of Transportation employee who was cutting grass on Interstate 80 eastbound near milepost 16.6. The employee discovered the remains while working on the highway.
The bones were positively recognized as belonging to Burch, whose disappearance had been reported on August 9th, 2022.
According to the statements made by the police, Manns, Dixon, and Rios-Figueroa kidnapped Burch, drove him to Allamuchy Township, and then opened fire on him as he was standing next to Interstate 80.
According to the authorities, Rios-Figueroa was currently serving time in Westchester County, New York, for the crime of auto theft. He is currently detained pending his return to New Jersey via extradition.
According to the State Police, Dixon was arrested on August 24, 2022, and booked into the Essex County Prison for reportedly threatening two individuals who were associated with Quadree Burch.
The Warren County Prison is currently housing Manns while he awaits trial.
