According to sources within the law enforcement community, a 14-year-old girl was stabbed multiple times by her younger brother in their home in Queens on Saturday night.
According to the New York City Police Department, the adolescent sustained “several stab wounds to the torso” at approximately 7 p.m. inside the Jamaica home on 111th Avenue and 156th Street.
She was in stable condition when she was transported to Jamaica Hospital.
According to the sources, the younger brother was taken into custody inside the home.
It is currently unknown how old he is, and it was also unknown what charges if any, he would be up against.
According to a neighbor who spoke with The Post, the disturbed family had relocated to the south Queens area a few years before.
The neighbor, who would not give her name, commented that the family did not interact with the outside world but appeared to get along.
“Every once in a while you could catch a glimpse of them giggling and having fun,” she added regarding the children.
“I consider that to be a terrible thing. I prayed that God would bless the family. I was expressing my desire that everyone was doing well at that location.
