New Jersey Woman Hurt in Snowmobile Accident Near Waterbury

An accident involving a snowmobile that took place on Saturday in Waterbury reportedly left a woman with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

Sabrina Dimaiolo, 46, of New Jersey, was driving a snowmobile with a child passenger on a guided tour on VAST trail 100a when Dimaiolo hit a water bar, according to a news release from the state Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Diabolo was participating in the VAST route 100a snowmobile trip. The snowmobile then struck a second tree on the other side of the trail after being deflected by the first tree, as stated in the release.

According to the authorities, Dimaiolo and the youngster, who has not been named, were both thrown from the snowmobile when it crashed.

The child did not sustain any injuries, but Dimaiolo was transported to Copley Hospital for treatment of serious wounds that were not considered to be life-threatening.
