Rapper Kay Flock, known for his drill music, has been charged with racketeering conspiracy. The US Justice Department has announced that Flock and seven others are responsible for leading the “Sev Side” and “Third Side” gangs in the Bronx.
The group is accused of carrying out a slew of violent crimes, including at least one attempted murder.
According to the prosecution, the gangs ran amok throughout the Belmont communities, engaging in gun battles and then glorifying their violence in songs and posts online.

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams stated, “Over a period of several years, the members of these gangs allegedly terrorized neighborhoods in the Bronx and Manhattan by killing and shooting other people.”
By filing these charges, we will ensure that members of the South Side and Third Side are held accountable for the gun violence that has plagued our neighborhoods.
Police Commissioner Keechant L. Sewell said that illegal firearms and gang activity pose a significant risk to public safety in New York.
The NYPD’s main objective is ending this catastrophe, and the indictments handed down today are a big step in that direction.
