Newark’s famous Ironbound area is home to Sol Mar Restaurant, a locally and family-owned seafood establishment with a Portuguese and Mediterranean bent.
This eatery is conveniently located near both Newark Liberty International Airport and Newark Penn Station, as any New Jersey native would attest. The menu items at Sol Mar seem really mouthwatering.
Grilled sardines, codfish prepared Portuguese-style, octopus, halibut, and sea bass from Chile are just a few of the restaurant’s most sought-after seafood dishes. It is also well-known that each month, on average, 5,000 pounds of seafood is served to the residents of New Jersey.
