Kevin Clifton has shared some great news with us, and we can’t wait to watch him perform! The former Strictly Come Dancing pro has confirmed that he will be performing in Strictly Ballroom: the Musical, and he will be joined by Maisie Smith, a fellow Strictly veteran!

Craig Revel Horwood is also scheduled to oversee the film, so they won’t be the only Strictly alumni involved! So, what is the plot of the show? Scott Hastings, an arrogant and rebellious teenage ballroom dancer, is the protagonist of the novel.
The summary says as follows: “When his bold and daring dancing style causes him to lose favor with the Australian Federation, he is forced to dance with Fran, a complete novice. Together, they muster the guts to break convention and learn that winning doesn’t need purely ballroom moves!”

Kevin and Maisie Discuss Strictly Ballroom.
Lorraine’s studio has a huge screen with an image of Kevin and Maisie from the forthcoming episode. Lorraine said, “Oh look at you there.” “Wow!” said Maisie.
“I’m sure you’re itching to get this show on the road,” Lorraine said.
Kevin then praised Maisie, adding the two had a great time working together on the Strictly Children in Need special. He also described her as a “very good dancer.”
Maisie had “smashed” the audition for the part of Fran in Strictly Ballroom, he told Lorraine. “No way!” exclaims the speaker.
That’s something I didn’t realize!” Maisie burst out laughing. She then discussed how she fell in love with ballroom dancing while competing on Strictly Come Dancing. “I’m quite fortunate that my adventure has been able to continue,” she remarked.
