According to court documents that were made public on Wednesday, the authorities in New Jersey impounded a car that was linked to a former partner of a teacher whose body was later discovered in a shallow grave.
The car in question contained a pickax, a shovel, and a rope that had been stained with blood.

Cesar Santana, age 36, was charged with murder in connection with the death of Luz Hernandez, age 33, who was a kindergarten teacher at a charter school in Jersey City. The information was included in an affidavit that supported the murder accusation.
According to a statement released by the office of the prosecutor for Hudson County, Santana was also charged with obstructing, tampering with physical evidence, and failing to dispose of human remains in a manner that complied with the legal requirements.

The prosecutor’s office stated that he was taken into custody on February 10 at a motel in Miami and that he was extradited to New Jersey on Tuesday evening.
