Two persons were arrested and many local departments were summoned to help with crowd control after a violent street fight was captured on tape by Hoboken police body cameras on April 11th.<\/p>\n

Public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin said last week that at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11th, all available Hoboken police units were sent to 510 Jackson St. on reports of a brawl and potentially a firearm being brandished.<\/p>\n

Several cops can be seen carrying batons in the video, which was obtained through an OPRA request, and a big crowd has formed outside 510 Jackson St.<\/p>\n

A few minutes after the police arrive, a group of cops grab a woman and take her into custody off the sidewalk. Moments later, another group of Hoboken police officers arrives and takes a male into custody from the same spot.<\/p>\n

Melissa Walker (age 37) and Ricky Walker (age 42), both of Hoboken, were previously recognized by Rubin as cousins. Both Melissa and Ricky Walker have been arrested and charged with disorderly behavior and simple assault.<\/p>\n

You should keep an eye on those sticks. Be wary of the sticks! A man in a white t-shirt said, “That’s my mother and my sister!” before two police officers were able to calm him down.<\/p>\n

A cop assures him that he will go into the crowd and fetch his mother, and a few minutes later, she returns to the building without incident.<\/p>\n

Melissa Walker, still in handcuffs, collapses to the ground and starts breathing heavily, leading an officer to encourage her to take a deep breath and relax.<\/p>\n

She was able to stand with help after drinking some water and was taken to the Hoboken University Medical Center by the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps.<\/p>\n

The Port Authority Police arrived at the scene at 6:53 p.m. and were soon joined by officers from Union City, Secaucus, West New York, North Bergen, Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ Transit, and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n
