PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) \u2014 According to the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, the state’s minimum wage will be going up on July 1. The new standard minimum wage will be $14.20 per hour, up from the current $13.50 per hour.<\/p>\n

According to statements made by officials representing the state of Oregon, the minimum wage is required by law to undergo annual revisions on or before April 30.<\/p>\n

After that, any changes to the minimum wage are chosen by increases in the U.S. City Average Consumer Price Index, also known as the “CPI,” for All Urban Consumers for All Items from March of the previous year to March of the following year.<\/p>\n

In other words, any changes to the minimum wage are determined by price increases.<\/p>\n

Following an Increase of 5% in the Cpi, the Minimum Wage is Raised.<\/h2>\n

The following is a list of wage increases:<\/p>\n

• The federally mandated minimum wage is now set at $14.20 an hour<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
• The minimum wage in the Portland metropolitan area is $15.45 per hour<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
• The minimum wage in non-urban areas is $13.20 per hour<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
