An officer’s pursuit of a suspect that ended in a violent collision in South Los Angeles resulted in the death of one victim.<\/p>\n

In the early hours of Tuesday, the Gardena police department reported that officers were pursuing a person in a gray Dodge Charger who was speeding and failing to stop at red traffic signals.<\/p>\n

When the suspect arrived in the Los Angeles region, the pursuit was called off by the police because it was no longer safe to continue.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Police Department said that the suspect continued driving and struck other parked cars soon after 2:30 a.m. in the area of West 94th Street and Harvard Boulevard.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred in the city of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

It appears that at least one other person was injured in addition to the driver of the vehicle that was giving chase, who was killed.<\/p>\n
