If they match the ballistics of the gun that shot Officer Boller, then they were likely fired from that gun.

“His dad and I have been business partners for the past fifteen years. It’s a feeling I imagine every cop can relate to, knowing his kid was out there doing his job and was shot “said NYPD Detective Division Chief James Essig.

“Despite the incredible efforts of the detective bureau and the force investigation, describing an occurrence in which an officer is shot is notoriously tough. When something like that happens, you feel a whole range of emotions.”

He had surgery at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, and now he must begin the long process of getting better.

He will remain in the hospital for at least a few more days, maybe even into next week, but he is anticipated to make a full recovery.

The shooting cracked one of the hip-leg connection bones, damaging the major blood supply in his leg (the femoral artery).
