NEW YORK (1010 WINS\/WCBS 880) \u2014 This is NEW YORK. According to police statements released on Friday, a worker at a 7-Eleven was assaulted with a “wet floor” sign as he attempted to stop a bunch of shoplifters from raiding his business.<\/p>\n

The New York City Police Department has published pictures of various suspects in connection with the “flash robbery” that occurred on February 6 at the 7-Eleven located at Sixth Avenue and W. 27th Street in the NoMad neighborhood.<\/p>\n

According to the police, six individuals entered the store at approximately 9:10 p.m. and immediately began stealing many items of product.<\/p>\n

According to the authorities, the group assaulted the worker, who was 29 years old at the time, as he attempted to prevent them from departing with the stolen products.<\/p>\n

The perpetrator kicked the victim multiple times in the head and torso before hitting them with a “wet floor” sign.<\/p>\n

Mopeds were used to make their getaway from the scene, and they were last seen traveling in a northerly direction on Sixth Avenue.<\/p>\n
