The NewsBreak article referenced in the previous paragraph was difficult to track down. Having been through something similar and having learned something about the possible motivation behind the health code violation, I felt compelled to write about it.<\/p>\n

The article I authored got published, and it’s about a restaurant that was apparently closed for a serious health code violation. The gist of the tale was that a restaurant in New York City’s Chinatown had been trapping stray dogs in the area and serving them to unknowing customers as substitutes for other types of meat.<\/p>\n

Considering NewsBreak disconnected the two stories for being false, it’s highly unlikely that the link will operate. (If the link doesn’t work, just search for “Buffet Chinatown Dog Mea<\/strong>t” on Google and you’ll get the idea.) The credibility of my original source has been called into question, and this “report” has been making the rounds on the internet for years.<\/p>\n

\nAs I take great satisfaction in the reliability of my sources, I am deeply sorry that the story was published. Since NewsBreak had already confirmed the source, I had no idea it was questionable when I wrote the article.<\/p>\n

Really, that’s my main problem. Once upon a time, I, too, bought into a narrative that had been widely circulated as gospel truth.<\/p>\n
