The starting salary<\/strong> is at $40,000<\/strong>, and it can go up to about $70,000<\/strong>, with additional pay and benefits available for people who work and reside in the immediate vicinity.<\/p>\n

Although previous experience is not required, there is a comprehensive and strenuous training program involved in this position. According to Lisa Farbstein, the TSA’s spokesman for public affairs, candidates will go through a rigorous training program that lasts for sixteen weeks.<\/p>\n

“What we do exposes us to a great deal of danger and puts us in a position where we are quite vulnerable.<\/p>\n

“Thus, if the absolute worst-case scenario occurs, just a small number of people will have a lot to accomplish in a very short amount of time, and we want to make sure that we obtain the best possible candidates. “We want to ensure that we’re being really truthful. This is not a simple task at all.<\/p>\n

It’s a difficult life because you’re away from home, there are demands placed on your family, and it’s a difficult life because it’s tremendously fulfilling,” Brown added.<\/p>\n

To be eligible to apply, candidates must be United States citizens or nationals, between the ages of 21 and 36 (with some exceptions made for veterans), have a minimum of three years of relevant job experience, and have either a bachelor’s degree or higher.<\/p>\n
