This news comes on the heels of the allocation of more than $2 billion in 2022 to repair over 8,500 apartments spread over 17 projects.<\/p>\n

The new Permanent Affordability Committed Together initiative will be run by Beacon Communities LLC, Kalel Holdings, and MBD Community Housing Corporation. These three organizations were chosen by NYCHA and resident representatives.<\/p>\n

The PACT team will deliver complete apartment repairs and upgrades, building renovations, and landscaping improvements totaling $128.5 million to be distributed over three NYCHA campuses.<\/p>\n

The Boston Secor Houses, Boston Road Plaza, and Middletown Road are just a few of the apartment complexes in the northeastern Bronx that are scheduled to have their interiors updated.<\/p>\n

These three particular construction endeavors are scheduled to get underway in the year 2024.<\/p>\n

Several families living in other buildings have expressed worry to News 12 about the reason why these three buildings are getting fixed but not theirs, despite the fact that theirs is in dire need of assistance.<\/p>\n

“One of the residents commented, “Every time I come to visit my mom, the elevators are always malfunctioning, and folks have no choice but to just walk up the steps.”<\/p>\n
