MARION COUNTY, Iowa<\/strong> \u2014 On Friday morning, the body of a Des Moines man who had been reported missing earlier in the week was discovered close to Beech.<\/p>\n

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the body of Alan Conley, age 76, was discovered inside his pickup truck in a bean field. At this time, there is no reason to assume that Conley’s death was the result of any kind of foul play.<\/p>\n

Monday, February 6th was the day when the Des Moines Police Department was notified that Conley was missing.<\/p>\n

The Des Moines Police Department said that the last time they saw Conley, he was driving a silver 2002 Chevy S-10 pickup after leaving his residence.<\/p>\n

It was also said that Conley suffered from medical concerns that interfered with his awareness and necessitated the use of medication.<\/p>\n

A complaint of an abandoned truck in a bean field was brought to the attention of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning at approximately 8:42 a.m.<\/p>\n

After arriving on the scene, the sheriff and a deputy discovered that Conley had already passed away.<\/p>\n
