THE CITY OF DA VINCI (TCD) \u2014 NEW YORK A 64-year-old man was arrested for the suspected murder of a mother and daughter in their Harlem home over 30 years ago.<\/p>\n

The New York Authorities Department tweeted the news of the arrest, which said, “The bodies of Sarah and Sharon Roberts were found by police on February 20th, 1994, and they were found strangled in their Manhattan apartment.<\/p>\n

After nearly 29 years, a 64-year-old man was arrested for their murders.<\/p>\n

According to WPIX-TV, authorities have purportedly used DNA evidence to link the suspect, Larry Atkinson, to the case.<\/p>\n

Apparently, a house attendant at the Grant Houses on West 125th Street in Harlem found the bodies of Sharon Roberts, age 27, and her mother, Sarah Roberts, age 57. Reportedly, Sharon had been strangled with a wool stocking.<\/p>\n

Both ladies had been killed, and it has been stated that Atkinson was romantically involved with the housekeeper.<\/p>\n

Atkinson has a substantial criminal past, including 13 arrests and five convictions, as reported by WPIX.<\/p>\n
