A Burlington County man, 43, has been charged with first-degree aggravated assault for allegedly critically injuring his mother earlier this week by beating her with a landscaping rock.<\/p>\n

When Lawrence Y. Kim, of Marlton, was first arrested, he was accused of,<\/p>\n

• Unlawful weapon possession (third-degree)<\/li>\n
• Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  The Evesham Township Police Department has announced that Kim has been charged with attempted murder in the first degree.<\/p>\n

  The incident occurred at a residence on Woodlake Drive in Marlton on January 16th.<\/p>\n

  In that location, police discovered a 75-year-old woman who had been severely injured in the head and was unresponsive. She was taken there and was last seen in critical but stable condition.<\/p>\n
