These sites represent a minute fraction of the almost 500 branches maintained by Santander Bank in the northeastern United States and Florida.<\/p>\n
Santander Bank was founded in 1902 as Sovereign Bank in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, according to Wikipedia. Beginning in the 1980s, Sovereign expanded dramatically. In 2006, Banco Santander began purchasing pieces of Sovereign, and by 2009, the company was under its complete ownership. In 2013, Sovereign changed its name to Santander.<\/p>\n
