The family of Frank Nasto Jr., owner of Nasto’s Ice Cream Co. in Newark, announced his death on Christmas Day. Nasto’s, which has been around since 1939, has been making ice cream and other frozen treats for decades.<\/p>\n

He was the driving force behind Nasto’s development into the thriving business it is today. The Nasto family has claimed that their uncle’s legacy would include his hard work and dedication.<\/p>\n

A Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newark after funeral services, which will begin at Buyus Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, as stated in the obituary. Nasto grew up in Newark’s Ironbound neighbourhood before moving to Union.<\/p>\n

His death is announced so soon after the passing of his older brother, Alphonse; barely seven months had passed. According to the company’s official website, Nasto’s Ice Cream Co. was built by the brothers working together.<\/p>\n

It all started off little for the well-known ice cream parlour. According to the company’s website, Frank Nasto Jr.’s parents, Frank Sr. and Angelina, immigrated from Italy and started an ice cream business near the intersection of Jefferson and East Kinney streets.<\/p>\n

Nasto and his brother Alphonse took over the company and built it into a prosperous retail and wholesale enterprise.<\/p>\n

According to the corporate website, traditional family traditions from Frank Nasto Srhometown .’s of Nocera, Italy are still used to manufacture the brand’s signature Italian dishes including Spumoni and Bisque Tortoni.<\/p>\n

Our company has outgrown our Newark storefront, which was located just west of Independence Park. But the place has sentimental value because it was the home of Frank Nasto Jr. and his family.<\/p>\n
