Since Keckler was last seen alive on Nov. 9, his body may have been there.

Waller lived on the first level of the apartment building a block from Harrisburg police headquarters.

According to court records, the landlord said investigators Waller had the hatch padlock code because he did odd jobs for him. Waller occupied the rear apartment over the basement stairs.

Read more: It Seems Likely That Supersonic Testing Was the Cause of the Mysterious Rumblings Near New Jersey: the Navy

Court records say a claw hammer killed him. According to court records, police recovered a wooden-handled claw hammer with blood spatter in Waller’s kitchen.

Investigators also observed blood spatter on Waller’s apartment bedroom wall and a “significant amount of apparent blood” around and on the bed.

The coroner found hammer wounds on Keckler’s head and face. Multiple traumas killed him.

Police suspect Keckler was killed in Waller’s bedroom and placed on the stairs.

How Waller knew Keckler is under investigation. Keckler went unmissed. Officials were unable to find him a permanent address earlier this year.

Waller’s parole agent told police he fought a homeless guy in October “for messing with his girlfriend,” according to court records.
