Upon returning from a trip up Franconia Ridge on Sunday morning, 20-year-old Emily Sotelo was discovered on the northwest slope of Mount Lafayette in Franconia. Sotelo’s absence from the home at the expected time prompted a family member to file a missing person’s report.<\/p>\n

Two days into the search for Sotelo, on Tuesday, her footprints and some of her possessions were discovered at the source of Lafayette Brook. The police discovered her remains on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n
