Her age is a bit of a mystery; when she first came to public attention in 2019, it was reported that she was only 19 years old. Since then, it has come to light that she is likely a little older than that, having been born in 1993 rather than 2000.<\/p>\n

Tones’ greatest passion as a child was basketball, which she played every year since she was four years old. As she grew older, she expended all of her energy competing at increasingly higher levels.<\/p>\n

Tones discovered a second passion for music while struggling to escape her difficult childhood. It happened when she was about 7 years old, and her extended family had to gather at a nearby park with all of her cousins.<\/p>\n

That was when she and her cousins began singing a song and her aunt recognized that out of all of them, Tones was the one who had a passion for music. But, with such a poor support system in place, Tones was forced to rely on herself to sing.<\/p>\n

Tones and I Early Career<\/strong><\/h2>\n

From that point on, Tones started learning on her own, and she largely kept track of her development by uploading acapella versions of well-known singles to her YouTube channel<\/strong> starting in 2009. She later developed keyboard skills while still in high school, and from there she advanced to a drum pad for sound effects.<\/p>\n

She then began working in retail at a clothing store, where she remained for a few years before deciding to take two weeks off to pursue her musical aspirations. She used the money she had saved from her jobs to purchase an RC 300 Loop Station<\/strong> for herself.<\/p>\n

Then Tones left her house and moved to Melbourne,<\/strong> where she started appearing at festivals and small-scale shows.
