It was in the Netherlands where Branch’s mother was born, therefore after the war, she relocated there. When her mother was five years old, her family uprooted and settled in Arizona.<\/p>\n Branch’s parents encouraged her pursuits, from assisting with local Sedona gig booking to funding her debut self-released CD, Broken Bracelet. Sheryl Crow<\/a>, Lisa Loeb, Jewel, and Fleetwood Mac covers were among the many on her set list during these performances.<\/p>\n She gained the attention of pop rock band Hanson and former Rolling Stone writer and Los Angeles record producer Jeff Rabhan after posting two of her songs to the Rolling Stone website in December 1999.
