In a 23XI Racing\/Toyota press conference Tuesday, Tyler Reddick was a surprise guest for a surprising cause. Denny Hamlin, one of 23XI’s co-owners along with Michael Jordan, and the team stated that Reddick will join the team in time for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season after he had signed on with them.<\/p>\n

It’s a long-term deal, according to the team. Despite Reddick’s contract expiring at the end of the 2022 season, he will continue to compete for Richard Childress Racing until the end of the season and into the next year.<\/p>\n

A five-year strategy with the ultimate objective of winning a championship is in place at 23XI, according to Hamlin and 23XI president Steve Lauletta, and they believe Reddick will help them achieve that goal.<\/p>\n

That is one of the numerous decisions the team will have to make before the start of the 2024 season, including whether or not to grow to three cars or stick with two vehicles. Even if anything is conceivable, Hamlin remarked on Tuesday that he does not “anticipate” having three cars in 2024.<\/p>\n

Hamlin remarked, “All we know is that we wanted him.” In order to ensure Tyler got the opportunity to join this race team, we made sure our feet were firmly planted in the ground. “We’re happy to have Tyler in our future,” Toyota Racing Development president David Wilson said.<\/p>\n
