Nicki Minaj already knows how much her fans like her, but in case she needed a refresher, they reminded her of London.
Following her performance at Wireless Festival on Sunday, the rap singer attempted to connect with her fans at a meet-and-greet on Monday. Because she couldn’t interact with them directly at the venue, she announced on Instagram Live that she’d be dropping by Cafe Koko and that they should meet her there.
“I need you guys to spread the word about something quickly,” she added. “First and foremost, this was one of the finest evenings of my life, with one of the best crowds I’ve ever seen. I wasn’t able to interact with the fans and the cool folks that came to witness the event because of the way the venue was set up outside. So I’ve decided to organize a meet-and-greet for my followers in London tomorrow.”
Hundreds of Barbz, Minaj’s admirers, crowded the streets near Cafe Koko, a Camden neighborhood bar and pizza. Before the meet-and-greet, the restaurant shared Instagram Stories showing people queuing outside for a sight of their queen and then celebrating inside.
Minaj was photographed sitting in the window of her car, surrounded by camera-wielding admirers on all sides, according to the Daily Mail.

The agitated throng quickly became out of hand, causing Minaj to quote-tweet a video of fans swarming what looks to be her vehicle, screaming for calm.
“Guys, they won’t allow me to come out the cars unless you get in a restricted place,” she tweeted. “Please do not sprint through the streets. Please gather at one location. 1 line.”
The gathering was finally shut down by police, who closed neighboring highways to clear out the people.

“Regardless of what Ms. Minaj tweets, she is not present.” “She’s driven by, she’s gone,” a security official announced to the audience, eliciting gasps and boos.
Meanwhile, Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, was sentenced to a year in home confinement last week for failing to register as a sex offender. Petty was previously convicted of attempted rape in 1995 and sentenced to four years in jail as well as registration as a sex offender wherever he resided.
