Garter Ceremony 2022:To Celebrate Garter Day in 2022, the Duchess of Cambridge Wears a Catherine Walker Dress!

A four-day Jubilee commemoration of Queen Elizabeth II’s seven-decade reign brought together the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the occasion earlier this month. Although the epidemic forced them to take time off, the family hasn’t stopped working and is currently making up for the lost time. For the first time since 2019, they met at Windsor Castle on Monday for Garter Day festivities.

The Order of the Garter is the oldest knightly order in the United Kingdom. Sir Tony Blair, Baroness Amos, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were all inducted into the Order of the Garter on Monday. Catherine Walker, a favorite designer of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, designed a vibrant ultramarine blue coat dress for the Duchess of Cambridge.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall completed her look with a Juliette Botterill‘s fascinator, a scalloped clutch bag, and Aquazzura slingback heels to match her sapphire ring, which belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales. Also on display were Middleton’s pear-shaped sapphire earrings and necklace, which she accessorized with the same style as her iconic engagement ring.

A bubblegum pink Valentino dress with long pink sleeves adorned Sophie, Countess of Wessex, at the event. A cream fascinator and nude pumps completed the look. Since she has been an advocate of British designers for many years, many people may be surprised by her outfit choice. The Countess wore Suzannah and Me+Em throughout the Jubilee weekend. In terms of fashion, she joins the ranks of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, both of whom wear Dior on a daily basis.

At St. George’s Chapel, Camilla was accompanied by her husband, Prince Charles, in the procession. A velvet robe with white bows over the shoulders, a rope tassel around the neck, and an oversized blue slouched hat with a flat brim and feathers attached were her ceremonial regalia. However, Queen Elizabeth later joined the royal family for lunch and the investiture ceremony despite not being present in person.

The Noblest Order of the Garter parade at Windsor Castle, commemorating new members of the oldest and most senior order of chivalry, is the most colorful in a royal calendar jam-packed with extravagant festivities. Duchess Camilla of Cornwall, wife of Prince Charles, and former Prime Minister Tony Blair was among those in attendance for this year’s parade on June 13, 2022. A carriage ride back to the castle follows service at St. George’s Chapel. Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are accompanied by Prince Charles and Camilla.

On the eve of the Order of the Garter procession and service on June 13, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, pose for an official portrait at Windsor Castle. Due to her mobility concerns, the queen was unable to join in the procession during this year’s Garter ceremony, which was the first since 2019.
On June 13, 2022, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla of Cornwall will attend the Order of the Garter service at St George’s Chapel.

The procession and the ceremonies within the church are marked by the distinctive plumed caps. At Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel on June 13, 2022, the Earl of Wessex and Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest son, Prince Edward, attended the Order of the Garter service with his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Edward, like his brothers, is a member of the most famous and oldest chivalric order in Britain.
