Disney+ Announces Researchers for New “Daredevil” Project: Matt Corman and Chris Ord Are Working on A New Project!

Matt Murdock has returned, and he’s even better than before. According to Variety, Matt Corman and Chris Ord are going to create and executive produce a new Daredevil series for Disney+.

Fans might expect Charlie Cox, who portrayed Murdock in the Netflix-turned-Disney+ series of the same name for three seasons, to reprise his role, since he just starred in a cameo role in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Variety’s report validates long-running speculations that have been circulating since Cox’s cameo in No Way Home, albeit little specifics about the news series’ existence are accessible, particularly without an official announcement from Disney or Marvel.

(For the Variety piece, Marvel Studios representatives refused to comment.) Corman and Ord had cooperated on the USA Network series Covert Affairs, which starred Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham and had a tone that seemed appropriate for one of Marvel’s Team Red members.

Given that both Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, who portrayed the wicked Kingpin, Wilson Fisk, reprised their roles inside the greater Marvel world this past Christmas, with D’Onofrio starring in Hawkeye, the decision feels like a long time coming on Disney’s behalf. It has long been argued if the pre-Disney+ programs were regarded as MCU canon, but it now seems that we have a firm answer, however, whether this new series will start up where season three of the original Daredevil left off remains to be seen.

Disney+ is developing a ‘Daredevil’ series.

If this news series follows the canon established by the pre-Disney+ episodes, it might completely shift the game for the MCU in the future, especially for the impending Disney+ series.

Given that Jennifer Walters and Matt Murdock are both attorneys and have crossed paths in the comics, rumors were already circulating that Matt Murdock or some of his partners will feature in this summer’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Wilson Fisk had an appearance in Hawkeye, while Echo, portrayed by Alaqua Cox in the same program and her own planned spinoff, is well-known as a Daredevil associate.

This might also imply that we’ll see more heroes in the MCU in the future since Daredevil was linked to not one, but five other programs, including Luke Cage, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and The Defenders.

Will the street-level heroes ultimately engage with their fellow New Yorker superheroes? Does this suggest that, as fans predicted, Frank Castle will appear in Moon Knight? We’ll have to wait and see.

More information, such as whether Cox and the other original Daredevil cast members, such as Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, and Rosario Dawson, will reprise their roles in the series, has yet to be disclosed.

Daredevil’s Actress Reacts to Netflix.

The return of Daredevil to the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a hot issue in recent years, and it’s become hotter now that the Daredevil Netflix series has relocated to Disney+.

With the revelation that Disney and Marvel are officially working on a Daredevil series to launch on their own streaming service, the enthusiasm has reached a fever pitch.

The staff of Daredevil Reacts to MCU Revival News.

Daredevil’s actress and showrunner expressed their delight at the news that Marvel and Disney are producing a new Daredevil program for Disney+.

Actress Amy Rutberg responded to the news with just a slight hint, implying that she and the rest of the cast were “eager to hear” about it.

Daredevil-Game Skydance

In over a dozen episodes of Daredevil and one episode of the team-up series The Defenders, Rutberg portrayed lawyer Marci Stahl, who dated Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson for the majority of the series:

Season 3 showrunner Erik Oleson joined in the celebrations as well, showering gratitude on the actors and fans of Daredevil as the show continues:

Season 1 showrunner Steven DeKnight sent his best wishes to Daredevil’s new chapter, saying he hopes to see him thrive with everyone else engaged in the revival:

Despite the fact that DeKnight has said that he would not be working on the next series, he wants the new team to have the freedom to produce their best job regardless:

Crew and Cast More Daredevil Is Coming.

As seen by Oleson and Rutberg’s responses to the announcement of Daredevil’s Disney+ show, everyone connected with the original is passionately engaged.

Given that Vincent D’Onofrio joined Cox in the MCU with his part in Hawkeye, there’s a good probability he’ll return in this new Daredevil to resurrect the Netflix hero vs. villain clashes.

Foggy Nelson, played by Jim Henson, and Karen Page, played by Deborah Ann Woll, have both been vocal supporters of Daredevil’s rebirth for the previous four years.

Given how recent this revelation is, it will most likely be some time before additional information about who Marvel will employ for the cast and crew of Daredevil’s upcoming season becomes available.

Regardless of when that occurs, the return of the program will be a major subject of conversation as Marvel Studios seeks to integrate the Man Without Fear into Phase 4 of the MCU.

The showrunner reacted to a fan who worried that the new program wouldn’t be as excellent as DeKnight’s, expressing hope that the Disney+ version will be even better than the Netflix version:

“Absolutely not! As a long-time admirer of the character, I’m hoping it’s even BETTER than the Netflix adaptation. They’ll very certainly have a far higher budget.”

Despite his “bittersweet” thoughts about not being a part of Daredevil in the future, he simply wants to see Marvel and Disney bring out a wonderful product that he and the fans can enjoy:

DeKnight said the new program is doing well, and he’s looking forward to seeing “what they’re cooking up:”

“I would, but owing to other responsibilities, I will be unavailable for the next several years. In addition, I want the new creative team to be able to accomplish what they want!”
