A man was murdered early Sunday morning in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, when his vehicle was involved in a collision with a power pole. The impact sheared the pole in two.
On March 12, at approximately 1:19 in the morning, a collision took place on the 7200 block of Bellaire Avenue in the North Hollywood area located within the San Fernando Valley.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to the area, and the first engine there requested assistance with physical rescue operations. After it was determined that the victim had passed away, the request was rescinded.

According to witnesses who could not be captured on camera at the site, good Samaritans did their best to assist the motorist, but by the time firefighters arrived, he was beyond the point of receiving any medical attention.
At this point in time, the reason for the collision cannot be determined.
Officers from the North Hollywood Division of the Los Angeles Police Department and police from the Valley Traffic Division were present at the scene.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power reacted to the call and temporarily turned off the power in the area so that law enforcement could investigate the incident in a risk-free environment.
