A man has been charged with criminal trespass and harassment after he allegedly stepped onto a school bus in Gloucester County last year and shouted at youngsters for throwing something that hit his car.
According to the police report, the incident happened in the afternoon of October 24 in Deptford and involved a bus full of kids from Deptford High School.
Devon A. Holmes, 32, of Woodbury was driving down Tanyard Road when an object was thrown from a student’s window, according to the police.

According to the police, Holmes boarded the bus when the door was open after it had stopped to let a student off.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Detective Thomas Mantici in Deptford, Holmes “verbally shouted at the pupils for tossing an item out of the window and hitting his vehicle.”
Last year, authorities published clips from a bus camera in an effort to identify the individual in question. The police only provided a short tape, so it’s unclear what was stated in that conversation.
A summons for harassment and criminal trespass was issued to Holmes last week after an inquiry.
On February 22nd, he will appear in front of the local court.

Attempts to get in touch with Holmes for comment were fruitless. As of Wednesday, the court stated he did not appear to have an attorney on file.
